In a 1994 study the Standish Group did research finding that only about 17 percent of all software projects in the US meet their original goals. Some of these projects go over budget, don’t get finished on time, or don’t do what they were originally intended to do. An amazing 33 percent of all projects don’t even make it to completion.

At Rubinos Inc. we feel that unless properly handled, most projects are doomed from the start. The requirements gathering stage, the first part, is usually glossed over or not even done. Sometimes people have assumptions that they feel everyone else just understands. Sometimes 2 groups have different meanings for the same terms leading to confusion. Occasionally people are afraid to even speak up in a group setting thinking they don’t want to look confused or unknowledgeable about their jobs.

We have come up with a method  to help you avoid these problems. Starting out with formal requirements gathering, moving to full project documentation, and taking you all the way to a completed project, we work with you through every step of a project. We strive to make sure that your initial vision is fully realized.

While we believe that this method is the best way to ensure success in a project, we also understand that not everyone agrees with us, or may even be part of the 17 percent that already has successful experience with project management.
